Description

Here we go...

C11, f/25, near equal seeing (2/5) and transparency (7/10).

At the screen, live, both cameras show more or less the same image. Maybe GH3 a little less dark background. Parameters with Firecapture 2.4 resulting in very similar histograms in all channels.

Extremely fast FPS with the ASI, up to 180 fps for the L channel! More than 10000 frames each, huge difference to the more "pedestrian" 3000 to 5000 frames with the Grasshopper, but...

Well, not very much difference in S/N ratio, as estimated by the "tolerance to wavelets" of the stacked images.

If one zooms in, some difference can be seen (?) though, a tad bit more crisp with the GH3, maybe, but there is an apparent "pixelization" on the GH3 images, specially with IR and B channels. It was visible in previous images, but does not impact the details, I think.

All in all, for me, this is a tie, and, if you put the price in the balance, the ASI is a winner, hands down.
